Vita

Wolfgang Höft, born in 1942 in Peine, Lower Saxony, Germany, embarked on his artistic journey as a shop window designer from 1958-61. He then progressed to showcasing his paintings in group exhibitions across Hameln and Berlin from 1960-68. Balancing his passion with a career, he served as the Art Director of a consumer electronics company from 1970 to 2007.

Höft's artistic evolution continued as he delved into sculptor studies at Städelschule in Frankfurt/Main 1981-85, under the guidance of Michael Croissant. This period marked the beginning of his work with bronze sculptures and exhibitions.

In 1985, he established his atelier in a former factory in Lämmerspiel, Hesse, and ventured into wood sculptures. The same year, his talent was recognized with the Promotion art award from Städtische Sparkasse Offenbach.

Between 1985 and 1988, Höft's sculptures were featured in exhibitions in Dreieich Buchschlag, Wiesbaden, Offenbach, and Bonn. In 1989, he created a notable bronze sculpture for the public space in Dreieich Sprendlingen.

The following year, he acquired and transformed an old farmhouse in Burkhards, Vogelsberg, into a new atelier, further showcasing his dedication to his craft.

His work again graced public spaces in 1993 with a bronze sculpture in Dreieich Sprendlingen's Townhouse.

Today he is living in Frankfurt/M , Germany
